After Hours Photography started with a dream and a Subaru.

I’m Gary, the Founder of After Hours - a Sydney based car enthusiast and photographer.

Growing up watching Fast and Furious, I always wanted a WRX or an Evo. I saved hard for five years, and at 23, I bought my first car - a special edition blue WRX RS40 with gold wheels and a huge spoiler. My first true pride and joy, paid for entirely by myself. But I didn’t just drive it home, I went straight to Blues Point and photographed it with the Harbour Bridge in the background. That photograph still represents one of the most memorable days of my life.

Since then, I’ve chased cars everywhere. Track days that left my heart racing, roll racing that tested timing and nerves, and gatherings like SubiNats, where 40 RS40s lined up together for a gorgeous photo. Each moment, each shot, taught me that the right photo doesn’t just show a car, it captures its story, personality, and the details that make it unique.

After Hours Photography is for enthusiasts who care, whether that be individuals or businesses. For stock or modified builds that have personality. For moments you want to remember forever. Because at the end of the day, we’re all just people in love with cars, and that’s exactly what this is about.
